How did we get to be here? Well, it goes like this...
John (ex-FBI) and Matt (ex-Cookie Monsters) got together at the end of 2013 in a nice cosy pub and decided to form a band to play the sort of music they had always listened too. We knew what we wanted - a really tight, hard rocking outfit that played killer songs but not 'just another covers band' - something different.
After a few false starts we soon realised that quality, like-minded rock folk don’t just grow on trees. How hard could it be to find decent, reliable musicians? So after loads of auditions and broken promises we were about to shelve things for a while when they were approached by Ian (ex-Soldier/Samurai/TheScopies) who was looking for a new challenge. We hooked up in a pub and upon discovering a mutual similarity, not only in music but outlook, we clicked right away and we knew this was the guy for us. Ian brings with him a massive amount of experience and also bags of talent. So it was agreed that this was definitely a good thing. Great – a 3 piece!
But we really needed a decent frontman. Next up to answer the call was Kip (ex-Twist of Fate/Shiny Shiny/Black Ink Sun) who brought bags of enthusiasm, a bloody amazing voice and the ability to grow a full beard overnight This time, rather strangely no pubs were initially involved, but motorbikes and good Whiskey were mentioned and so lo and behold the initial proper line-up was sorted..
We tried out as a 4 piece but it soon became clear we needed another guitar in the band. Ian convinced us that it would be well worthwhile involving Neil (ex-Last Exit/Overdrive) who turned out to be brilliant guitarist, with comparable levels of sarcasm and, rather spookily, shared the same parents as him. Sorted then - to the Pub!
After spending most of the end of 2014 creating our set and our plans we were about to hit the pubs and clubs circuit when we had to bid farewell to Matt at the end of that year. So we decided to have a think and a reshuffle and Kip proved to be a most excellent replacement on bass as well as coping mos of the vocal duties.
2015 saw our first dates on the circuit and although we didn't get to play that many.... as there aren't that many about, we ripped it up and went down a storm.
Fuelled by our early success we plan to do a load more dates in 2016.
So that’s it for now. thank for reading so far - we really hope to see you out there soon.
